Exactly a year ago, I broke up with someone. I caught him with his ex on the same bar where my friends and I went to party. It was something that I never expected, because that same day my Ex told me that he will render OT. To cut the long story short, he lied to me.
I value honesty and trust in every relationship. I knew that things will be okay if he have told me, but the fact that he said one thing and did another just irritated me. That same night, I deleted his number, promised myself that I will never talk to him again, and then the morning after, I blocked him from FB. That was my way of saying goodbye to someone.
My friends told me to give him another chance. Probably, he has a reason for doing what he did that night. Well, we talked about it, I learned how to forgive, but giving another chance will be impossible. It’s hard when trust is already broken. Now, we are just friends, he still invites me to his birthday party, which I never attended, we sometimes text (yeah, after he texted me, I saved his number, haha), and the last time we met was when I went to his Mom’s birthday party.
I am now single for a year. I should have a lot of reason to be depressed. However, I am not. Maybe I just learned to adapt to singleblessedness or probably, I just matured a lot. My friends even started setting me up on blind dates and started introducing so many people, but, I just failed them. Sometimes, I am not interested, and most of the time, I am preoccupied with so many things.
Believe me, I am happy being single. I love that idea that I have more time for myself. I can make decisions on my own. I can stay up all night reading a book instead of texting with someone something that we’ve talked about this morning. Now, I go to malls without the need to wait for someone to fit on clothes or window shop. I can listen to my favorite songs without even explaining myself why I love them. I don’t have to repeat the same things over and over again. I can stay out of the routine of having to watch a movie on a Saturday afternoon, then go to somewhere to have dinner and a couple of drinks, have sex, next will be to sleep, and then wake up on a Sunday just to go to church and have lunch with the rest of his family. I don’t have to adjust with someone else’s schedule and time. Being single provided me freedom and a lot more time to just enjoy myself, my family and my friends.
In one of Paulo Coelho’s book he said that, it’s not enough that you want something, you must also understand what you will do once that thing is already in your possession. I guess that is the reason why I stayed single for this year. Though I want to have a partner, I am still not sure what will I do with him. Hence, while I am still not sure, it is better to stay this way.
Please, don’t get me wrong. I am not giving up on love or even planning to stay single forever. Sometimes, things just need proper timing. Its better being single than staying in a complicated relationship. I’d rather stay alone than be with someone who will make me lonely. I will choose to be happy with the company of my family and friends than to be with someone who will make me sad. I know that love will just be around the corner, all I need is patience, at siyempre, konting landi. Haha! But for now, I am single and not available.

Last week before I took my off, my officemate send me the PDF file of this book. I know Mitch Albom sounds familiar, so I immediately looked for more information about him. Thanks to Wiki, I found out that he was the one who wrote Tuesdays with Morrie, a book I’ve read when I was still in High School.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom
I know that the book will teach a lot of lessons. Basing it on what I’ve read about Tuesdays with Morrie, I know that Albom’s new book will be well written, and it will be a book about life.
The Five People You meet in Heaven focused on Eddie, a Circus Maintenance guy who died on an accident. After he dies, he met five people, the blue guy, his Captain, Ruby, his wife, and the Filipina Child, Tala. Each person will teach him five important things, how human beings are connected, sacrifices, forgiveness, the essence of true love, and our purpose here on earth.
What I love the book aside from the lessons that it will teach you, some part of it was set here in the Philippines. I love Tala’s character and her importance in Eddie’s life. There were also parts of the book that really shocked me, like when the Captain died. I never see it coming. After I read the part, I immediately went on break just to smoke, it was just too much.
The five lessons that Eddie learned while he was on heaven is very important. I’ve realized that there are certain things that we will be things that we will learn as we grow however it is important to know these five things. We have to understand how our faith is intertwined; we have to know that sometimes, what is beneficial for us might be heartbreaking for someone else. We must not be selfish. In life, we also have to learn how to sacrifice and forgive. Love encompasses everything, even death, so it is important that we always show sincerity when we love somebody. Lastly, no matter how tough things can get, sometimes we will get fed up with the things that are happening around us, we must not fret. One way or another, we are beneficial to somebody.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven really started my week right. It gave me that boost of positive energy to welcome the week with such optimism and glee.

I am really not fond of books being turned into movies. Like what I’ve said in one of my posts before, books will always be better. But when you have to wait for a friend for three hours on a mall, and if that is the only movie available to watch, it is already a different story. Now, let us talk about Breaking Dawn.
All I can say is… I LOVE IT! I can’t wait for the Part 2, I guess that is enough said.
Breaking Dawn really stick to the book. They were able to show how painful and miserable Bella can get, how sad Jacob and Edward can become and what will the Cullens do just to save her. Every thing is just the way I wanted it to be –- concentrating on the story and not on the fight scenes. :)
I still prefer the book, there is no questioning that. However, the movie amazed me in a way that it was able to really show what the book was all about.
Chester is probably laughing now. He will keep on saying, and “I told you so.”
The Valkyries is a book about Angels. So far, it is the best literature I’ve read about them.
But before we proceed, do you believe in Angels?
I do. I grew up believing that someone was always watching my every move. He keeps me safe, he wanted me to always stay on the good side, he protects me from harm, comforts me through all of me fears, and he makes sure that I get through every trials. I first thought that believing these things were crazy, good thing that the book enlightened me.
What I used to have growing up was a Guardian Angel. Sweet!
There are several types of Angels – The Angel of Death, Angels that destroy, Angels that are bad, and Guardian Angels. Angels have different purpose, they are friends, and they will always be there.
Paulo’s goal in the book was to see his Guardian Angel and to talk to him. He went to Los Angeles to meet the Valkyries, who will teach him how to connect to him. In order to talk to his Angel, he must do three tasks: He must break a pact, learn to forgive and make a bet. Seeing an Angel is tough, that is for sure.
If there is one thing good about the book, it really makes me believe that Angels Exists. That is the main goal of the book, I guess, to make its readers believe and have faith on them.

Papa Jack is already playing Christmas Songs -- The kind of songs that will make you sad about Christmas, who wants to listen to Sana Ngayong Pasko, right? But yeah, Christmas also has a heart warming magic on it that will make you smile though how depressing the music is.
Christmas has always been the time of the year where I start to reflect on all the things that happened to me in the past year. Every December, I try to remember all the things that I’ve learned, lost, accomplished and succeeded on while I concentrate on all the things where I also failed. Christmas has always been good to me. I will always love the season of giving.
Our office is now decorated. There are several Christmas tree in the reception and the office of our bosses, garlands with red Christmas balls draped behind my station, and my officemates also started displaying their blinking Christmas tree on their desktops.
Since our building is located in a hotel, the decorations are grand. On the reception of our building, there are three Christmas tree in three sizes, small, medium and of course large. They placed it in a way that it creates an illusion that it is a big Christmas tree from a far. Beside is a house that is made of bread and cake icings. The aroma of cinnamon is everywhere the moment you enter the building. It’s sweet and delicious. I love it.
I am still not ready for Christmas. I haven’t even written my Christmas list, well, I am not used to writing lists. Because all these years, I am so used to the people I am celebrating Christmas with. They are the same people that I am giving gifts every time the season came – my family, god children, some friends, and some of my relatives, they always get something from me. But this year, I think I need to create a list. As I grow older, but not that wiser, I’m starting to realize that there are more people who needs to receive something from me. If all else fails, I will just send them a message saying “Merry Christmas.” It’s the thought that counts, right? Haha!
Christmas is already here. Are you guys ready for it? If not, you are not alone. Let us enjoy the rush together.
Fine! I am now addicted to the Lorien Legacies.
Two days ago, Chester and I were chatting about my recent post. I told him how good “I am Number Four” was and that I am planning to get a copy of “The Power of Six” this weekend. Then, I just told him that he can give me one as a Christmas gift. An idea popped into my head, all of a sudden I ask him if he can get a PDF file of the book and send it to my email address. That will work as a Christmas gift.
Chester was crazy, after a few minutes, he just told me that he was already downloading the book. He sent the file via SKYPE and after I thanked him, I started reading it. I finished the book in a day. Whew!
Before I read the book, I thought that it will be all about Six, Number Four’s ally. I know that it will be the continuation of the first book but on a different point of view, concentrating on Six rather than on Four. However, the book begins with number Seven. Haha!
Four and Six were on a mission to find the remaining Gardes. They know that they were stronger together. Henri also left a letter to Four about his past. Four also opened his chest that contains his inheritance.
The second book was way better than the first one. The story is more interesting, a lot of things happened, more questions being answered, and more kicked ass characters. It’s nice seeing the other Lorien Garde’s on the book. The story of Seven and Six were tough, I thought that they were as fortunate as Four because he has a good Cepan, but that is not the case. Seven needs to suffer and live in an orphanage while Six has to be alone because of her Cepan’s tragic death. Nine was also introduced on the book, and his legacy, Antigravity. Seven can heal and swim underwater without drowning. Now, I really want to be an alien. Haha.
What makes me upset about the Second Book was Sarah and Sam. Sarah turned Four and Sam to the police. While Sam got lost, maybe taken by the Mogs, because he was in search of his father. Nine and Four continue without Sam, while Six went all the way to Spain to save Seven then they will go back to America. Six left a note for Four however when Sam got lost, the note also disappeared. I wonder what they will do to find each other.
The series is really getting interesting. Too bad we still have to wait until August next year for the new book to be released. I am pretty sure that five and eight will be introduced. Though I know that they were already introduced in book two, they were the guy who moves object in India and the other is the girl who saved someone on the earthquake, I can’t wait to hear their stories.
I also want to know more about nine, what will happen to Sarah and John’s relationship, and what the hell happened to Sam. I just hope that Sam will not be the bad guy. But, who knows right? Pittacus Lore said that the events are still taking place somewhere in the planet, so we are still not sure what will happen.
But, damn, August 2012 is still too far.

(Pangalawang beses ko ng isusulat ito, nagbrown out kasi, lesson, I save ang Drafts! Pak! Haha.)
Okay. I am really not into books being turned into film. After I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, I stopped watching all its movies. I also ended my fascination with The Twilight Saga after I read the series. Books will always be way better.
Earlier this year, I watched this film on DVD.
Here is the trailer.
Pretty interesting, right?
I love the movie, there was no doubt about it. Effects were great, fight scenes were superb, the story is nice, and Alex Pettyfer is way too fine! :)
Diba? Haha. :)
However there were a lot of questions. What was Lorien? Why were they fighting? And the most intriguing, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE KILLED IN ORDER?
After searching the web, and failing to get the answers that I needed, I just decided to buy the book.
I Am Number Four is the first installment of the Lorien Legacies. It still doesn’t say how many books will the series have, according to its echuserang author, the events are still taking place here in our planet. Haha. Cool, right? Somewhere in Earth, there are aliens fighting and searching for their legacies.
According to the Book, before, there were other Life Sustaining Planets in the galaxy – Lorien and Mogadore. Lorien was smaller than Earth and richer in natural resources. They also have Cêpan which were individuals that possessed legacies (special powers). Mogadore on the other hand became too industrialized, that their planet became a bunch of waste which make it lose its resourcing. Thus, they invade Lorien.
Lorien got defeated. But before their planet became something that has nothing but barren land, they sent Nine Cêpan, together with their guardians to Earth to protect their legacy. The Lorien Elders placed a charm on the kids – they can only be killed in order. If someone will attempt to kill them, and it’s not their time yet, whatever you will do on that kid will happen to you. Bangis!
There you go, questions answered! Yeay!
As usual, the book was way better than the movie. Everything that you need to know and understand about the film was there. Its more dramatic, and its way different than the film. Even though I know it’s just fiction, it’s more realistic. In the film, they killed the Mogadores in a wicked fight scene, however in the book, they just escaped, Six and Four were badly hurt, then they start looking for the others. Which was really believable, they were outnumbered so though they have all the Legacies that they need, they still run. However the film just showed how kicked ass they can get.
Some parts of the book were boring though. Part like Number Four thinking about Sarah for almost three pages was boring. I don’t like it, or maybe I’m just jealous of Sarah. Haha. :)
Rating will be a 10! The book is nicely done, easy to read, and its addicting. I can’t wait to read the other Lorien Legacies. So far, Book Two (The Power of Six) is already out, and from what I found out on Youtube, Book Three (The Rise of Nine) will be out on August next year. Ang tagal pa, amp!
It also teaches a good story – hope. When all else fails, never give up on hope.
Have a great Sunday!

When Veronika decides to die… Her journey starts.
The story is definitely a masterpiece. Something that is way too different from all the books I’ve read. Who would’ve figured that a girl who wants to die and play the piano will change so many people’s lives?
The story started when Veronika drunk five sleeping pills to kill herself. Unfortunately, her planned fail. After taking the pills, her heart gets weak, which will eventually make her die in five to seven days. In that short span of time, her views about life and love definitely change.
Since committing suicide is considered a psychological problem, she has to be treated in Vilette, a place for insane people.
While in Vilette, Veronika met a lot of interesting individuals -- A depressed woman, someone who is suffering from panic attacks, a schizophrenic who has his own vision of paradise, and a doctor who is writing his own thesis about the cure of psychological problems. All four of them will be touched by Veronika’s presence in the facility. How? By playing some good music!
The story’s ending is shocking and amusing from what I’ve expected. Will Veronika die? You have to read the book to find out. Hehe.
If there is really one thing that the book taught me, it will be that sometimes, it’s okay to be insane. Getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing new things is fun. Sometimes, you have to set your own adventure, stay away from routine, and do something different.
It will also make you understand that sometimes, all you need is tolerance, all you need to do is embrace someone else’s difference and learn from it.
The book is very enlightening. Of course, I will give it a 10. Haha! A book where you always learn something deserves the best recognition possible.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

I haven’t finished IT, and I already lend it to someone because lately, I
am feeling lazy don’t have much time to read. I also bought two new books over the weekend, and of course, I will talk about it.
Veronika Decides to Die By Paulo Coehlo
I know I own too many Paulo Coelho books already but I just can’t help it. It also upsets me that this book is too popular and I haven’t read it. I also read on Wiki that this book has an adaptation where Sarah Michelle Gellar played Veronika. You can finish the book in one sitting however I don’t want to do that. Haha! Lately, all I want to do was to make sure that I will finish a book a week. Books may get pretty expensive, and Paulo Coelho books are not on book sale.
The book is about a girl who commits suicide, which failed. Then because of the pills that she took, her heart went weak to the point that she will die in five to seven days. I am already in the middle of the book, and to my surprise, it doesn’t talk much about Veronika. Yeah, she may be the lead of the book but the general idea revolves not only on her but with the other people she met at an asylum.
The Book deals about insanity, craziness, and doing something out of your comfort zone. It also talks about death in a very different way. You have to read the book to figure out what I am trying to say here.
I Am Number Four By Pittacus Lore
I am really not fond of books being turned into movie. Movies are sometimes deceiving; sometimes they just remove the important parts of a novel.
However, when I saw this movie l was pretty much intrigue with the idea. Aliens killing another alien in an order – that is pretty weird, right? The movie doesn’t explain much behind the story of Number Four and his clan. All it said was Number Four was from some planet that was invaded by Aliens who looks disgusting and they are now being hunted here. Number Four, together with Number Six, will definitely fight their enemies. Their next mission will be finding the remaining “numbers” in order to be stronger.
Pretty Interesting book I may say.
There you go. Two new books for two weeks!

“Male, po.” I said in a shy and timid manner, while looking at the Spa’s vinyl flooring.
The lady across the reception did her thing, then took a quick glimpse of me. I already know what she is thinking. This guy is gay because he wants to have a male masseur, and he wants to have a massage in 4:15 in the morning. I kept my stare at the vinyl flooring, then give her an impatient smirk, who cares what you think? I am not here for your masseur. My body aches and I think a massage can help me.
Finally, someone assisted me. I was slightly taller than him, slightly darker than him, and slightly heavier than him. He then guided me to the well lighted hallway, then the staircase that will lead us to our room. The scent of oil was all over, rooms are separated by thick black curtains that smell like cobwebs already, and the bed, well, its good for massages. Hehe.
Massages are relaxing. But it will really depend on the person who will take care of you. My masseur, a while ago, he was not good. Everything he did was not cool. He started small talks that I am not interested. Aside from that, his hands felt like rocks on my body. The massage was verging on uncomfortable and painful. I kept on telling him to mellow it down, which he did, then all of a sudden his hands will feel like hell again.
After the massage, he then offered me something, which shocked me because I never expected a Spa in Shaw will have such thing. I told him that its expensive, however he said that it will only be for 1500 bucks. No way! No effin’ way! Instead of getting irritated, I just gave Aljur the Masseur a condescending smile then started to get dress. I hate upsetting people so I just said, “maybe next time.” If there will be a next time, which I doubt. I know I’m unstraight, and I am proud of it however not all gay are as gay as what people think. Sometimes, we will not do such stuff.
Talking about a bad day, right?

Everyone is celebrating because The Underground River in Puerto Princesa makes it to the New Seven Wonders of Nature. But when I checked their website, it seems that the list is just provisional. Eventually, votes will still be reviewed and a final list will be announced next year. Well, let’s just hope for the best.
Friends, here are the new seven wonders of nature, in random order! (As if I know the order, haha!)
The Amazon Rainforest – Brazil
Known for its piranhas, carnivals, diverse ecosystem and its lush rainforest, the Amazon represents over half of the forest remaining rainforest. Beat that! Its river is also the largest in the world, and a fun trivia, not a single bridge crosses the Amazon River, maybe because of the piranhas, crocodiles, and the other creatures lurking on its waters.
Halong Bay – Vietnam
The bay is known for its limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. I cannot find a picture on the web that doesn’t have a boat on it, haha! I still prefer El Nido and Caramoan, though. Love your own, bakit ba?
Iguazu Falls – Argentina
Definitely, my favorite on the list. It is one of the largest waterfall on the planet. This beauty has 275 waterfalls all in all, and the tallest one of them all is 80 meters in height.
Jeju Island – Korea
I love Korea, and I also love Jeju Island. I know that Spring Waltz was shot here. It has Korea’s tallest mountain/a Dormant Volcano. What is a Dormant Volcano? Think Mount Pinatubo. Hehe
Komodo Island – Indonesia
Komodo Island is known for its rainforest and Komodo Dragon. A Komodo Dragon is a carnivore – meaning eating meat! Hehe. I’ve read somewhere that there saliva are deadly.
Table Mountain – South Africa
This is the only natural site on the planet that has a constellation named after it. The flat-topped mountain has withstood six million years of erosion and hosts the richest, yet smallest floral kingdom on earth with over 1,470 floral species.
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park – The Philippines
Super Duper Like and Love! Hehe. I’m planning to go here next year, its is the longest navigational underground river in the Planet. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea.
I am just hoping that our Underground River will still make it on the list next year. Well, something as beautiful as our PPUR definitely deserves to be on the list.
Btw, all photos were from Google. Ciao Everyone!
Last night, I read Hannah’s post about how she started earning money through her blog. I really love her blog because she introduces new things in an easy way that you will understand it right away. There are times when I just envy Then all of a sudden, I just realized that it is about time to try something different. Why not sign up for Nuffnang?
Nuffnang is a blog advertising community that helps bloggers earn money thru their blogs. I’ve seen the Nuffnang logo in most of my favorite blogs so I know that it is something that is really big. Then I read from their site that they are in four countries in the whole Asia Pacific. Shala!
Eventually, I signed up. The process is easy. What just bother me though are the codes that you have to copy then paste on your blog. Though the blog has a good tutor that will help you go through the process. It also has screen shots which is really cool and helpful for those people who are not a techie as I am. Goodluck nalang sa kin tomorrow. Haha!
The website also has a knowledge that will try to answer all of your questions about Nuffnang. If the site doesn’t help you, all you have to do is just send them an email. That is super!
Well, I know that my blog is just new and that the traffic thing that most bloggers are talking about is really not that nice. I am also aware that I don’t write as well as the bloggers that I look up to, but a big mile always starts with a single step, and a life without taking risk is boring.
‘Nuff said. :)

The Book Brida will give you an understanding what soulmate is. When I was still in high school, the idea excites me, having someone that is really meant for you. Reading the book answers all my questions.
What are soulmates?
"We are eternal because we are all manifestations of God.
That is why we go through many lives and many deaths, emerging out of some unknown place and going toward another equally unknown place. You must get used to the fact that there are many things in magic which are not and never will be explained. God decided to do certain things in a certain way and why He did this is a secret known only to Him.
The fact is that this happens.
And when people think of reincarnation, they always come up against a very difficult question: if, in the beginning, there was so few people on the face of Earth, and now there are so many, where did all those new souls come from?
The answer is simple.
In certain reincarnations, we divide into two. Our souls divide as do crystals and stars, cells and plants.
Our souls divides in two, and those new souls are in turn transformed into two and so, within a few generations, we are scattered over a large part of Earth.”
How will i know who my Soul Mate is???
By taking risks.
By risking failures, disappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in your search for Love. As long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end.
Another thing strikes me, YOU CAN HAVE MORE THAN ONE SOULMATE IN A LIFETIME.
The essence of Creation is one and one alone.
And the essence is called Love.
Love is the force that brings us back together, in order to condense the experience dispersed in many lives and many parts of the world.
We are responsible for the whole Earth because we do not know where they might be. Those Soul Mates we were from the beginning of time. If they are well, then we, too, will be happy. If they are not well, we will suffer, however unconsciously, a portion of their pain. Above all, though, we are responsible for reencountering, at least once in every incarnation, the Soul Mate who is sure to cross our path. Even if it is only for a matter of moments, because those moments bring with them a Love so intense that it justifies the rest of our days.
We can also allow our Soul Mate to pass us by, without accepting him or her, or even noticing. Then we will need another incarnation in order to find that Soul Mate. And because of our selfishness, we will be condemned to the worst torture of humankind ever invented for itself: LONELINESS.
There you go. Everything about soul mates. Now, I believe that you just have to wait – wait and take risks. Eventually, that special someone you are waiting for all your life will be knocking on your doorsteps soon.
How about you? Do you believe in soul mates? Or are you together now?
Mahirap ang trabaho namin, it involves a lot of thinking and guts.
Kunwari nung nagbigayan ng schedule, since madami akong
Since mas madami akong hindi kakampi, most of the time, nagiging wapakels type lang ako.

“All you have to do is to pay attention: lessons always arrive when you are ready, and if you can read the signs, you will learn everything you need to know in order to take the next step”
Haha!
Alam lang niya, everything was doing well in their relationship, tapos one day, bigla nalang siyang iniwan.

Here you go.
