Korean Guys
I will not bore you with another book post. Though I finished another one last night, and before you start thinking that I am really a fast reader, it is really not a book, it is a manual. The Manual of the Warrior of Light will really give you thoughts to think about, how you will look at your life and all the self help stuff. It’s 30 pages and has the same price of other Paulo Coelho books, pretty expensive.
On other news, I had another encounter with a Korean Guy last Sunday. I was on my way to work and he was sitting behind me. Because Megamall is under renovation, the bus has to unload its passengers on the building near the MRT (sorry, I am not sure whether its A or B). He got off before me, and noticing the poor foreigner is lost, I pointed him the way to the mall entrance. I kept on checking on him whether he is following me, and he is. :) When we reached the guards, I heard a voice behind me. When I turned, it is Mr. Good looking Korean guy saying his thanks and bowing his head to me. I smiled, because my day is complete!
This is not the first time I encountered a cute Korean guy. When I was still working in Unionbank Plaza, while smoking with an officemate, a Korean guy approached me holding two peso coin and his phone. He is smiling and bowing his head. I looked at my officemate hoping that we will both understand what this foreigner want from us. My mind was already trying to analyze what this cute guy want from me when he started saying, “low batt.” Then I understand that all he needs from us is to borrow our phone to text somebody about his phone. Since I am flirt friendly, I gave him my phone. When he finished texting, he give me back my phone and insists on giving me the two peso coin. Haha! Weird guy. I told him that he can keep the money because I have load that time, thank goodness for unlitext.
Koreans can really get weird. In Ortigas, there are a lot. They always walk in groups, with their parents and their dogs and carrying a lot of books. They have weird antics that you may either find cute or annoying.
But I really don’t mind them staying. Because, I love them.
I. LOVE. THEM.

Winning a Lottery
I read an article about a guy who won 14 million pesos on the lottery and was able to spend it in three months.
My initial reaction was like "wow, this man really knows how to spend his money." When I continued reading his article, it is sad because right now, he is already broke, in debt and has to ask PCSO to pay his hospital bills. Well I am just hoping that he already learned his lesson.
Who doesn't want to win the lottery? My friend and I even talked about the things that we will do if ever we win the pot money. It was crazy. Considering that the jackpot in the lottery now may reach 300M, to kill time, we often fantasize about the things that we will do if ever we won. And every time we do that (believe me, fantasizing about winning the lottery has been a hobby), my answer will always be the same.
If ever I will win 300M in the lottery…
The first thing that I will do once I get the money will be to file for a leave – two months maximum. If ever my company will not allow it, I will just resign then return after two months. haha. I will use the two months to travel the Philippines! From Batanes to… Davao, I will definitely go to all the tourist destinations that you normally see on postcards. It will be an experience that I will never forget.
I will buy a house for myself. Preferably a two bedroom apartment, I will have someone rent the other room so we can share the electricity expense. :D
My friend and I want to maintain how simple our life can get. Though we have the money that we can use to spend on exclusive travel and shopping destinations, we still want to go to work, take a nine to five shift, eat on fast foods and still commute.
I will buy my mom a big house in the province. It should have five rooms where my sisters and I can stay on vacations and holidays. Since it is near the farm, it must have a beautiful garden surrounding it, sunflowers and orange roses will line up towards the front house's porch. Mango trees will serve as shade from the scorching heat. There will be a playground for my nieces and nephews.
Gadgets are really not my thing so I will just ask my techie friends what I shall buy. Haha.
Definitely, I will give a generous amount to the church of St. Jude; I have been a devotee of the church since I was in college. Some amount will go to Bantay Bata and Bantay Kalikasan because I am a big Kapamilya I believe in their advocacies. A portion will also go to a charity organization that helps the old folks, priests that doesn't have a home, and for old PLUs. I will help my High School's library because I know that books can really help someone a lot.
The rest, I will just keep it in a bank, invest on stocks and bonds, and buy a lot in manila where I can have an apartment that people can rent. I also want to have a taxi company, my very own Jollibee, and probably my very own book store.
So far, that is all the things that I've planned.
But until I finally have the guts to even bet and join the lottery, all of this will just be in my head, helping me survive a boring day in the office. haha.
So... What are your plans if ever you win the lottery? I would love to hear them!
Enjoy your Sunday, friends.

The Accident
It was raining that dawn; I was standing in front of our house smoking. The morning was pretty ordinary, its cold like it’s always been. Then, I saw a fast motorcycle passed where I stood, after 10 seconds, I heard something clashed. I have idea of what might had happened that time, I said a little prayer then looked at the direction where the sound was coming from, and it was a sight that will not be easy to forget.
The motorcycle that passed my way was now down on the street floor. Its rider is also down. His limbs were in the middle of his motorcycle and the wet street floor. You will see in the Rider’s face that he was in excruciating pain. He looked disappointed, hurt and uncomfortable all at the same time. The poor fellow wasn’t able to get up right away, he was lucky that someone was in the street corner who helped him get up, put his motorcycle at the side of the road and ask him if he was okay. He sat there for a while; I wanted to go to him to ask him if he was okay or if he needed medical attention. But I just watched him from where I stand because I saw him already walking towards a tricycle, then he started to argue its driver.
From what I’ve heard the motorcycle was crossing our street’s intersection when this tricycle just appear on his left, the motorcycle rider lost its balance while the tricycle just lost its composure and hit the sidewalk hurting its drivers toe. I left them still arguing, they still cannot decide whose fault it was and how they will settle it. It was a more pitiful site compared to seeing the motorcycle driver on the street floor. I left because it was no use staying there and watching two people who doesn’t want to settle things.
After all the things that happened I really don’t understand why after an accident, an argument must occur. Maybe that is the problem with most of us, we always look for other’s fault that we failed to recognize our own flaws. That after all the unfortunate things that happened to us, we still have the strength to blame other people rather than to contemplate where we have gone wrong and correct things in a diplomatic way. It is really an attitude that all of us, including me, that needs polishing.
On the contrary, what was good about what happened was that it still nice to know that good people still exists. They may come in the most painful situation but they still do. So whatever accident you are into, never lose hope, one day, someone will pick you up on the wet street floor and will assist you until everything is okay.

Book Report
My landlady asked me to create a book report for her Son. Actually, it was my friend’s recommendation that brought me into this chaos that I don’t even know if I will be able to surpass.
I really don’t know why I should be pressured with it. Maybe because the last time I remembered creating a book report was still way back in High School and during that time I still have a lot of time reading, analyzing every detail, studying and writing. Right now, I can say that during my spare time, I’m sleeping or I’m at FACEBOOK. Another thing, the student who I am writing the book report for is also studying on a Science High School. Though I know the “Scientian” way of doing things, it adds up the pressure because things are way different now, kids are smarter these days and they have every technology in the world to assist them with all of their school needs. The book was also given to me yesterday, I have read the first two chapters, and the submission is on two days from now.
I really don’t understand why some parents tolerate the fact that someone else is doing their child’s project. Back then, I was just on my own, trying to maximize what my family have to accomplish every school requirement left for me just to finish school. Though I know I will get some sort of pay, or bragging rights by doing it, it’s upsetting that money has played a big part in achieving something. How unfair the world has become, right?
I just hope I will be able to meet my deadline, because I’m sure, I will be in great trouble if I wont.
