The Lost Files

The Lorien Legacies have three books available in your favorite book store. You can read them here, here and another here. LOL.

Aside from the three main books, there are also Supplemental Books in circulation. They are called The Lost Files. Some of them can be found at the end part of the Main Books.

What it is: The three Lost Files that I have on PDF are entitled Six’s Legacy (talks about Six), Nine’s Legacy (talks about Nine), and The Fallen Legacies (talks about One, Two and Three). Don’t worry. This is not a Math problem.

If you are not familiar with the whole series or if you haven’t watched the movie, let me just explain what the numbers are for. When the Gardes (the good guys) left their planet, a charm was used in order to protect them. They can only be killed in an order. The charm will only be broken if the Gardes are together so when they were young, they roam the Earth separately.

Six’s Legacy and Nine’s Legacy talk about their story before they met Number Four. Basically, it was all about how they discover their legacies (super powers) and the life they had before the whole adventure begin.

The Fallen Legacies talks about the first three Gardes that were killed by the Mogadorians (the bad guys). You might be wondering how the story of One, Two and Three were told? I know. It may sound a little confusing because the series started with Number Four, how come someone was able to tell the story of the dead Gardes, right? What was cool about this file was it was narrated by an enemy. You’ve read it right, by a nemesis.

What I like about it: Out of the three supplemental books, what I love the most is The Fallen Legacies. Aside from knowing the three other Gardes who died first, you will understand how the whole catastrophe affects the protagonists of the story. There were a lot of revelations in The Fallen Legacies. Who would have thought that the monsters that we saw on the movie were just clone like creatures and were really created to increase the strength of the enemies? The real aliens, they call themselves True Bloods, looks like an ordinary Human.

It was nice knowing Adamus, the true blood who narrates the story. Because though his entire family was all bad ass aliens, he doesn’t believe in their people’s mission. When he saw One got killed, he felt bad about it. He even tried saving Two and Three but as always, he was late.

The book will make you more aware that sometimes, not all bad guys are bad at all. All of them have a soft side. We just need to grasp that out.

What I did not like about it: I am really not sure if it is just plain coincidence or Pittacus Lore just ran out of idea when he killed Six and Nine’s Cepan (mentors). They were abducted, tortured, and eventually killed by the bad aliens in order to get information from Six and Nine. While writing this, I realized that there were a lot of similarities between Six and Nine – they were both trained in combat pretty well and they have good mentors.

The ending of The Fallen Legacies really made me craving more about Adamus (Adam). I really want to know whether Adam survived and eventually, will become one of the good guys. I want to know whether he will help Four and the rest of the gang to save planet Earth. Damn, I am so excited about it now.

Recommended for: Everyone who is really into the series like me. The Lost Files will make you understand how Six and Nine became fierce warriors, and it will make you more excited about the next book. If you want a copy of the PDF, it will be a pleasure sharing them. Send me a message.

The Rise of Nine

By Pittacus Lore

When I went to NBS yesterday, the only thing that I had on my mind was to buy Fifty Shades of Grey. I heard a lot of things about it – my friends are talking over in on the net, and my roommate even got a copy of the PDF file. However, when I saw the price of the book, I thought it can wait for another time, LOLS, I just find it not friendly for the pocket. Now, I am thinking of having my roommate send me the PDF file, haha. I never left the store empty handed, though. Because this book was beside the Grey book, and since I am a big fan of the series, I just bought it.

What it is:  The book is the third part of the Lorien Legacies. If I Am Number Four talks about more of Four’s discovery about his legacy (super powers), while The Power of Six concentrates on the other Garde (Aliens who were destined to redeem the planet from a nasty villain), The Rise of Nine focuses more on their quest to become as one team in order to defeat the Mandagorians (antagonists of the story).

What I liked about it: Allow me to say that, out of the three books, for me, this is the best. Seriously, I finished the book while doing my work in the office. I was so hooked that I just can’t get my eyes off it. The book was narrated by three characters which was awesome because at least right now, it doesn’t just concentrates on Number Four’s thoughts and feelings. Doing such creates a clearer image of the story. It shows how different the three Garde’s were, thus creating a more interesting plot and more characters you can relate to. No several pages talking about how John felt about Sarah, no boring sentences about flirting, and no repetitive part where the good aliens were fighting the bad aliens. This book is really cool.

I love the idea of having the Government and Mandagorians collaborated in order to stop heroes of the story, I love how thirsty the characters show off their skills. And I also admire that though the remaining Garde were so different from each other, they still blend because of their common goal.

Aside from that, imagine moving things with your mind, moving to a different continent in a short time, talking to someone on your head, controlling the weather, defying gravity, shifting to a different shape, healing by touching, and watching your hands light up? Tell me if that is not cool enough.

What I did not like about it: I really cannot point everything in this book. But there is really one thing that made my eyes rolled and my left eyebrow make a sudden raise. At the first two pages of the book, there was a part where it says “the events in this book are real,” see the picture below to fully understand. Once I read that, I was like, Seriously? LOL.

Recommended for: For anyone who loves Alex Pettyfer science fiction books, stories about aliens, UFO, unbelievable powers and some kick ass action scenes.

Grind With Me

Grind with me.

I don't want to dance anymore. Lights are already hurting my eyes and burning my exposed skin. The fumes from cigarettes are worst than the smoke machine that this old place has. You just don't know how much I want to cover my face, though I am doing this for quite a while now, it still feel embarrassing. Though I am doing this for quite a while now, I am still not used to how people stare. Some of them stare like I am a centerpiece on a buffet; they want to have a piece of me. Some give me the pitying glances where I do not find any sincerity. And most of them just stare because it is my job to make them stare at me, want me, and love me.

Common, grind with me.

I promise I will give you a good time. I will make you feel good. I will tell you stories that you want to here. I will make you feel wanted and beautiful. I will do the things that you want. But everything is for a price. Common, we all know that nothing is free now. So, make sure that you have what I need and I will surely give you what you need and always wanter.

Baby, grind with me.

But never fall for me. And in case you did, make you that you will not just love me – you also need to love my daughter. Here, see her picture. See how lovely she is? Of course, she comes from my genes – good genes. Everything I do is for her so if you want to marry me, you also have to marry her. Package deal, baby!

In case you did, you have to also know where you will stand. You need to understand my job and the consequences of being in love with someone like me. Yes, I can be what you want me to be in your life, but remember that you will never be my only one. A lot of people want me, you know. Some of them are way better that you, you know? And for someone like me, I will always with the biggest catch. If that is not who you are, then you can fall for me, but don't go blaming me for crushing your heart.

Please, grind with me.

Yes, I will act like I want to see you, that I want to be with you. But, I am a good actor you know? I can pretend that I miss you, and that I cannot live without you. But they are just acts, baby. Because I need you. Sorry, I need your money. So even if I have to beg for you to see me, and my moves, and my hot body, I will do that because I need you.

And you know you need me too.

This is who I am.

Are you ready to grind with me?

I AM NUMBER FOUR

(Pangalawang beses ko ng isusulat ito, nagbrown out kasi, lesson, I save ang Drafts! Pak! Haha.)

Okay. I am really not into books being turned into film. After I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, I stopped watching all its movies. I also ended my fascination with The Twilight Saga after I read the series. Books will always be way better.

Earlier this year, I watched this film on DVD.

Here is the trailer.

Pretty interesting, right?

I love the movie, there was no doubt about it. Effects were great, fight scenes were superb, the story is nice, and Alex Pettyfer is way too fine! :)

Diba? Haha. :)

However there were a lot of questions. What was Lorien? Why were they fighting? And the most intriguing, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE KILLED IN ORDER?

After searching the web, and failing to get the answers that I needed, I just decided to buy the book.

I Am Number Four is the first installment of the Lorien Legacies. It still doesn’t say how many books will the series have, according to its echuserang author, the events are still taking place here in our planet. Haha. Cool, right? Somewhere in Earth, there are aliens fighting and searching for their legacies.

According to the Book, before, there were other Life Sustaining Planets in the galaxy – Lorien and Mogadore. Lorien was smaller than Earth and richer in natural resources. They also have Cêpan which were individuals that possessed legacies (special powers). Mogadore on the other hand became too industrialized, that their planet became a bunch of waste which make it lose its resourcing. Thus, they invade Lorien.

Lorien got defeated. But before their planet became something that has nothing but barren land, they sent Nine Cêpan, together with their guardians to Earth to protect their legacy. The Lorien Elders placed a charm on the kids – they can only be killed in order. If someone will attempt to kill them, and it’s not their time yet, whatever you will do on that kid will happen to you. Bangis!

There you go, questions answered! Yeay!

As usual, the book was way better than the movie. Everything that you need to know and understand about the film was there. Its more dramatic, and its way different than the film. Even though I know it’s just fiction, it’s more realistic. In the film, they killed the Mogadores in a wicked fight scene, however in the book, they just escaped, Six and Four were badly hurt, then they start looking for the others. Which was really believable, they were outnumbered so though they have all the Legacies that they need, they still run. However the film just showed how kicked ass they can get.

Some parts of the book were boring though. Part like Number Four thinking about Sarah for almost three pages was boring. I don’t like it, or maybe I’m just jealous of Sarah. Haha. :)

Rating will be a 10! The book is nicely done, easy to read, and its addicting. I can’t wait to read the other Lorien Legacies. So far, Book Two (The Power of Six) is already out, and from what I found out on Youtube, Book Three (The Rise of Nine) will be out on August next year. Ang tagal pa, amp!

It also teaches a good story – hope. When all else fails, never give up on hope.

Have a great Sunday!
