Ang Sukob ni Morgana

Morgana is getting married this December 2012. Who is Morgana? The name comes from the ABS Soap Pangako Sa Iyo, and yes, Morgana is my Antagonist in The Company. Imagine this, I am Amor Powers and she is still, Morgana. LOL.

There is one thing about her wedding that really makes me think. You see, Morgana’s mom passed away last July. And if she will be married this December some say it may bring bad luck. Sukob.

My idea of Sukob comes from the Kris and Claudine Barreto’s film. If you remember, Kris and Claudine got married on the same year. And since they did not know that the two of them are sisters, the people they love in the movie are suddenly being killed by Pokwang who wears a nasty and freaky costume. I remember watching it with my ex and believe me, most of the time, I was not looking at the big screen because I was scared watching my ex watch the movie. LOLs.

I am really not the superstitious type, and I know how the movie was exaggerated enough it order for it to become a blockbuster. Hence, I am also not sure if it will work the same way if someone in the family passed away and get married at the same year. All I know is I want to forget about the movie because it terrifies me a lot. LOL.

Anyways, I am still happy for Morgana. Though we don’t like each other a lot, wedding will always be a fun time.

Now, excuse me, magpapatahi pa ako ng gown.

Day 19: The Long Hair

Day 19 — The film that best describes how my day-to-day life feels is…

This is a hard one. Aside from I really don’t have a lot of movies to choose from, I don’t know any movies that may be as weird as me. I wish I can answer the Hunger Games, but it will not makes sense. :D

So I will just settle for Tangled! Hahaha!

I know that the movie is too gay but there will always be something about Rapunzel that fascinates me. The idea of doing everything to pursue a dream will always touch something in me. I can so relate! Haha. Who doesn’t have a dream, right? Who will not do everything to achieve it? Even vicious people have one. :)

To better understand it, enjoy the video below!

The Hunger Games

The first time I encountered The Hunger Games was on the trailer of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. After I saw it, I immediately researched it, and damn, the story was pretty interesting.

I know the plot of the story before I even watched it. Though I know what to expect, something about the movie really fascinated me. Seeing costumes burning in flame and how the protagonists of the story stirred up the whole competition really fascinated me.

It was a movie about death. The topic may sometimes get violent but what was cool about how the directors treated it amazed me. You will not see squirts of bloods or body parts, the movie is for everybody.

I fell in love with the character of Rue, she really touched me.

After watching the movie, I can’t wait to read the book. Its like watching I am Number 4!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Movie

My officemates and I decided to watch The Girl with the Golden Tattoo after our shift. It was also the time I found out that the movie was graded R-18. It felt stupid calling megamall then having the phone operator told you that their movie was not available on any SM branches. Shameful.

After reading the book, I was aware that I should not expect much. Having seen a lot of movies that comes from book, I know that the movie will be rushed, certain parts of the book will not be brought into detail, and knowing how tragic the book may be, some parts will be hard to watch. I was even covering my eyes on some parts because it was way too much to watch. It was like eeww much. :p

But it was a good decision reading the book first before even watching it. Aside from you will know when to cover your eyes on the disgusting parts, you will be able to tell how different the movie was from the book. There was a part where they really change the plot. It was way different from the book. It was frustrating to a certain degree but I understand.

I love Rooney Mara! She really gave justice to the strong and weird character of Lisbeth. She was charming in a corky and weird way. Take a look at how she transformed,

Boom! :)

Daniel Craig was hot. <period>

The Girl with the Dragon tattoo is really recommended. Better watch it without popcorn. :P

Sabaw

super duper like. pinanood ko ng sobrang daming beses. kinakabahan nga ako ngayon we, baka maging LSS. afraid!

Enteng ng Ina Mo

I have faith in Ai Ai delas Alas when it comes to movies. I really find all of her movies entertaining, so when I found out that they will make another movie about Ina and her family, I was really excited. I thought that her entry to the MMFF last year will be the last story of her family, but who will not want to have a movie with Vic Sotto, right?

At first, I was really hesitant watching the movie. I know it will be entertaining and it will be worth the money that you will spend however, not having Wenn DeRamas as a director really gave me doubts. A DeRamas film is really different. His movies will really capture your heart and will make you a cry baby once the actors started crying.

Hence, the movie never failed me. It was really fun watching it.

Ai Ai and Eugene were so wacky. They were so natural with their skills. You can notice that even Ai Ai wants to laugh with how Eugene portrayed her character. I love the scene where Eugene was pushing a wall for Ai Ai to cry on, she even told her to go up and down while pouring her heart out. That was hilarious.

When Ruby punched Jose, I really can’t stop laughing. It was unexpected and so realistic that though I know it was acting, it was so believable. Vic Sotto’s acting was also okay. I cannot say that it was Best Actor material though; for sure he can do better.

All in all, the movie was epic. It was hilarious and will definitely be on the top list of the Blockbuster movies. Will it win a Best Picture award? I’m not sure, though. But, for me, what makes a great movie is the fact that aside from its entertaining, it must be different, the story must be something that you want to share, and it must teach a moral lesson. If this will be the guidelines of the judges for the MMFF, definitely Enteng ng Ina mo will win.

Breaking Dawn

I am really not fond of books being turned into movies. Like what I’ve said in one of my posts before, books will always be better. But when you have to wait for a friend for three hours on a mall, and if that is the only movie available to watch, it is already a different story. Now, let us talk about Breaking Dawn.

All I can say is… I LOVE IT! I can’t wait for the Part 2, I guess that is enough said.

Breaking Dawn really stick to the book. They were able to show how painful and miserable Bella can get, how sad Jacob and Edward can become and what will the Cullens do just to save her. Every thing is just the way I wanted it to be –- concentrating on the story and not on the fight scenes. :)

I still prefer the book, there is no questioning that. However, the movie amazed me in a way that it was able to really show what the book was all about.

Chester is probably laughing now. He will keep on saying, and “I told you so.”

A Little Bit of Heaven

Kamusta?

Haha!

I love this movie.

After Reading a lot of reviews about Remington, finally, napanood ko na din siya!

No Other Woman

Hmm…

Predictable ang story, yeah, pero ang kakaiba sa kanya is the way it was delivered. Sobrang galing!
