All I Want For Christmas Year 3!

Definitely, there is no stopping Christmas!

A year ago, I joined this cool activity where bloggers exchange gifts. It sounds out of this world. At first, I never even thought that it may happen, but it did. Who would have thought that I will meet my amazing blogger friends with the activity?

To continue the tradition, PM started another exchange gift activity. Yey! It is more meaningful this time because PM and I were already talking about it on Skype. Yes, we are excited. We already discussed who we can drag into the activity. And yes, since it’s been a year, probably we can have more people join the activity.

How does it work?

Okay, I will just tell you what I did last year. First you have to create a post where you will share your wish list. It is called the All I Want For Christmas post. Make sure your list is doable, minimum amount is PHP 200. After making your post, visit PM’s post here, and leave a comment. This will help her collect the names of the people who are interested to join.

On November 30, PM will post on her blog the pairs. Then the partners exchange gifts, you can send your gifts via mail, or you can meet your partner just like what Ayla and I did a year ago. If the instructions are still not clear, you can always check the mechanics on PM’s page.

The activity is really fun. Reading all the wish lists, knowing who is your partner and getting your gifts makes me more excited about the whole activity.

To my blogger friends, I am seriously hoping that you can join us this year. This is really a cool meet new people and gain more blogger friends. I can always testify to that. So please, please, pretty please, join us this year! It will make the spirit of giving more exciting.

Here’s my wish list. To my future partner, please be very good to me. Kidding.

Something small: Naruto Key Chains

Something big: A Big Orange Bag Pack:

Something cute: Akatzuki Mug

Something soft: Pillows will do.

Something techie: Flash drive.

Something fancy: Man, this is tough. Okay, Olay Total Effects facial wash. :D

Something (Orange):  Zen Zest Linen Sprays (The bottles are orange).

 Something wearable: Keffiyeh Scarf!

Something you need: I know I need a lot of things but I cannot think of one now. Damn! Okay, alarm clock!

Something you can use for work: Coasters. Don’t ask why. LOLS

Something sweet: Reese’s!

All I (really, really) Want for Christmas is: I lost my Power of Six book, oh well. That is what I really really want!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Akala Mo Lang Wala Nang Slumbook Pero Meron, Meron, Meron

A Meme Post

And now we pause for an important childhood memory – Slumbook!

Oh yes, you’ve read it right. Don’t go rolling your eyes and start contemplating how boring slumbook can get. Definitely, there was a point in your life where you encounter this waste of time amazing get to know you more tool. Haha! Remember your classmate who will give you his/her notebook and when you finger thru it, it has a lot of questions. First page, name, next, nickname, third page, address, and I will stop now before this get too uncomfortable. The richer kids will get slumbooks from Bookstores, it comes in beautiful scented papers and you will even beg your classmates just to have a chance to write on it. Been there. :D

In response to PM’s meme and to encourage her to write more personal post, I will answer the same questions. And to make things more embarrassing fun, I will also tag my friends to join the activity. The rule is simple, answer the questions and tag your blogger friends.

Let’s start.

Name one thing you would never or rarely get bored of doing: Talking. It may sound weird, but I can get lazy reading, writing and eating, but I never heard myself said that I was too tired to talk. My friends can testify that I really have a lot of stories to tell, that I am witty enough to be capable enough to talk about anything under the sun, and if they need something from me, they will say I am a good conversationalist. The talkative list on Elementary days, my name will always be part of it.

Is there a fictional character from a movie, TV show, or a novel you wish existed in real life: Interesting. I know that fictional characters were inspired by individuals. But I really think that life will be cooler if mermaids and genies existed. Yes, I am a big Walt Disney fan.

What did you want to be when you grow up: If you will ask me this question two decades ago, no hesitations, I want to be a Doctor! But since I really cannot stand blood, I want to be a Chemical Engineer. I really find Chemistry fascinating. The idea of staying in a laboratory and creating something beneficial to society excites me.

What super power would you like to have: Telekinesis, seeing the future, and making molecules freeze/moves faster. I am a big Charmed fan, and since I will never be a witch, I can settle for their powers. Oh, I also want to orb to a different place!

What is your worst habit: There are times where I will talk faster than I think. And sometimes, my stupid mouth will always get me into trouble. Insert John Mayer song here.

What is your best quality: Tough one. I am a good listener, and though I can really get opinionated with everything, I know when it’s time to give the floor to someone else.

An accomplishment you’re most proud of: It will always be finishing college with little help from my parents. High five to all the working students in the world!

One word to describe your life so far: It's not that complicated. :)

What are the things that piss you off most: Insensitivity. Because I sincerely believe that being aware of how someone feels will make you more tolerable. A world with tolerance will always be a world of peace. Thank you, Las Vegas. Haha.

What makes you cry: Will I be weirder if I will tell you that I rarely cry. The last time I cried was when my Grandmother was buried. It was crazy, because we have a big family and I was the only one crying. Pfft.

You laugh because: I believe that laughing is the best medicine. Nothing in this world needs to be taken to seriously. I laugh at my problems the same way I laugh while watching some corny sitcom on TV.

If I did not know better I would: I really will do something violent. Throwing rocks on a windshield is really one of the best stress reliever I can think of.

That was really fun! So for my lovely blogger friends, it's your turn to answer the same questions and tag your friends. I am choosing MEcoy, Orange Pulps, Dorm Boy, Kulapitot, Zaizai, and Mark Joe. If you need clarifications, you can check PM's post.

Happy Thursday!

Deduction

He stares at this group picture on his page, still trying to figure out who he is.

There were nine of them, six guys and three girls.

He immediately cancelled the girls on the list; definitely they will never be him. This one is the queen, he knows that pretty well. He cancelled out another eye candy.  This one is the guy on twitter. Not him. He moves closer to his PC monitor trying his best to recognize the other fellow on the screen. This cannot be him; he is the warrior on the Queen's kingdom.

And now he is left with three souls, a warrior of light and two dark knights.

Still, his deduction skill is not working. He is sure of one thing, though, he is one of the knights. He grinned, in due time, the mystery will be solve. :D

Their picture was something like this

The Catcher in the Rye

Two blogger friends introduced the book to me. Mots said that it was one of his Required Reading when he was still studying. Nyl mentioned that I should start reading it after I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower because it’s eerie and somehow the book knows me.

I have high expectations about the book! Haha.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK:

Yes, Holden is definitely the reason why I love the book. He is so complicated but in a very cool way. The way he think fascinates me. The way he cares for Sophie wants him to be my older brother. And, the way he sees thinks makes me want to have his brain. :)

Some people think that the book is challenged not just because of the language used but also because of the mature themes that were being discussed in the book. But I appreciate books like this. For me, a reading material that gave you a head on realization of the things happening around you should be published more.

I also like the way the book ended. Holden making his reader imagine what life is in store for his is really a cool idea. For me, I will really love Holden to go back to school and not flunk anymore, but somehow, I also want Holden to just follow his dream because I am always a believer of doing something you love will always make you happy.

If you’ve read the book, how do you want Holden’s story to end?

WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK:

This is hard. I guess it will be some of the stories when Holden is reminiscing them, because I was really concentrated on what is really happening with him. :)

I also hate his sneaky professor, haha!

Well the book is really nice. It will always give you a reason to be optimistic with everything that you do. That no matter how difficult things can get, things will be okay, if not now, it will happen soon enough.

The Witch of Portobello

By Paulo Coelho

While I was doing last month’s blog activity, I stopped reading. Haha! I was back in the night shift and it was really hard adjusting to my new schedule. Most of the time, I was sleeping. Aside from that, the weather was hot that made me too lazy to even do something.

But, it’s always nice to get the motivation to read something back. Enter, The Witch of Portobello!

What it is: At first, I thought it was a true-to-life story so while I was sifting thru the first pages of the book, I started researching about it on Google. Only to find out that it was just fiction. Haha! The book was about a girl named Athena, her mission, and the process she went thru in order to complete it. The theme about the book revolves about finding one’s true self and being aware of the energies of the world. A lot of feminism idea was also shared in the book.

What I liked about it: The book was written in a way that it will begin and ends with a mystery. It was also written in a cool way – doing a biography using the different views of the main character’s friends and family members. What is really cool about reading Paulo Coelho books is that he will share with you an idea about history or religion and you will not be bored with it. You will understand that it will always be part of the whole story. Gypsies were also emphasized – their history, views and cultures were also described. It is always nice learning something new from people that you rarely encounter. It also centers on how powerful a woman can get. The idea of the book on how woman affects religion, culture and society will always be enlightening.

What I don’t like about it: There is only one thing about the book that I don’t like. Probably because divorce is never practiced here in the Philippines but the book mentioned that if someone gets divorce, he or she cannot take the Holy Communion. That is something I really don’t understand.

Moral Lesson: Paulo Coelho will definitely give you something you can ponder on when you read his books. Well, the book really concentrated on answering “Who am I?” and doing everything to answer that question. He wants us to be like Athena, fearless and dedicated. She will do everything in order for her to know what her mission on this world is. She will try her best to succeed on it. Because she knows that by doing such, she will be complete.

I guess that is something that we can all ponder on. Knowing what you want is one thing, but doing everything to achieve something will always be a good trait.

Enjoy Reading!

*********************************************************************

On other news, other news talaga! Haha! My blogger friend PM will have a project where she will give notebooks to bright and worthy kids from Bataan. We will definitely appreciate if you can help out, you can check her post here.

Day 1: The Idol Contestant

Day 01 — The one thing that it seems like everyone else on the planet is into but I just cannot stand is…

What is the 30 Days of Blogging Honesty and one Dare? It’s an activity for all bloggers out there to answer 30 questions in 30 days. I just browse thru all the questions and damn, they were not easy to answer. Good thing we will start with something I consider easy to get away with.

Who here watches American Idol? Probably, you all know Jessica Sanchez.

Yes, she is making news now because of her ability to kill those ballads, and another yes because she is also Pinoy. I really give props to all the Filipinas who make it on American Idol like Jasmine, Camille and Ramiele however there is really something in her I really don’t like. Her swag is really too much and sometimes, I really find her over confident.

She is pretty good however I know that she will not win this year. I like Hollie more, or probably, Phillip or Colton will win the competition.

To all Jessica fans out there, please don’t hate. Smile

Onse

Finally someone tagged me to this eleven questions thing. I’ve seen a lot of blog post like this, unfortunately, no one tagged me yet. Spell unpopular, right?

Thanks PM for the questions!

Let’s start…

Why are you blogging?

When I started blogging, I was writing to express myself. All I ever wanted was an avenue to express my thoughts. Then I started enjoying it to the point that I realized how fun it is – writing something and having someone somewhere react on it.

The story behind your blog username

Aside from someone used to call me orange, you can read it here, orange also is my favorite color.

When do you plan to retire your blog?

I cannot answer this question right now, I still enjoy doing this and I don’t want it to end yet.

What is your favorite blog to read?

MTM, many to mention. Haha… parang slumbook lang, haha

What is the story of the last book you have read?

It is the story of Jacob and his life while working as a Vet on a Circus.

Where did you hear the song you got last LSS?

From SMASH, a new television show in the U.S. It was a song cover of Michael Buble’s Have Met You Yet, watch it here…

Do you think I should watch [insert name of your most favorite movie of all time]?

Definitely! Aladdin is one of best movie I’ve ever watch.

Do you add blog friends on your personal Facebook account?

I don’t see any problems with that. But I don’t initiate the”adding” part; they should either add me up (if they will find me on Facebook) or communicate with me that they want me to be their friend there.

When you are bored, do you eat to fill your time?

Since I am on a diet now, NO, I sleep to fill time.

What is the happiest moment of your life so far?

Earning my own money and being independent.

How old are you?

26.

That was fun.

Now I am tagging Elmer, Bryan, Cherie, Nyl, Chet, A3c, ZaiZai, Green Breaker, Mark Joe, ^Travis, and Mac Callister. Kailangan daw mag tag, pasensiya naman. :D

For the eleven questions,

  • Describe yourself using a science concept?
  • How do you handle your last break up?
  • What was the last video you watched on YOUTUBE?
  • What was your favorite subject in school?
  • Anong panget sa maganda at maganda sa panget? hehe.
  • How will you describe your blogs to someone who doesn’t have any idea about blogging?
  • What are your career goals and what are you doing to achieve them?
  • Complete the sentence. If I will win 300M pesos on the lottery, the first thing I will do after I claim the money is….
  • What is the last topic on Wikipedia that you’ve read?
  • Favorite Walt Disney Character? Why?
  • LSS of the moment.

I hope you will have fun answering this questions.

Keep it awesome, guys!

Prinsesa’s Anatomy

Last December, I remember joining this blogger exchange gift. It was one of the most memorable thing that I’ve done last year. Meeting a fellow blogger for the first time and being able to get a cool orange tie is really superb.

Aside from that, because of the exchange gift, I get to know PM.

 1

PM is really a good writer. Her blog is really one of my favorites. Since our gift giving activity, I always make it a point to check her page and read all her recent posts. PM influenced me a lot, from creating a Bucket List, up to making sure that I will get a copy of the book she read, there was also a time where I want to study baking because I want to create my own version of No Baked Lemon Pie, where I will use oranges of course.

She just don’t write well, she always make sure that you are always welcome on her blog. It really means a lot to me when I comment on something, the blogger will even take time to reply on a comment. PM never fails, I always see her blog comments in sky rocketing numbers because aside from the fact that a lot of people read her stuff, she always replies on comments.

PM is also a reader of my blog which makes me feel conscious and nervous sometimes. Knowing how good a writer she is and how so so my posts can get, I should be very thankful because of her presence on my page.

Well, PM always knows how much I appreciate her. From the comments to my blog to her replies on my comments, PM will always be someone that I really look up to.

Its nice knowing that someone who has a post on a newspaper, who will take care of her boy friend in the hospital for week and who reads as fast as I am (I think) can seems to be so near, so accommodating, and be so humble. She rocks!

I am writing this because of PM's contest, she is celebrating her blog’s fourth year anniversary. I have no plans of indulging her, but knowing her and her blog makes me more honest with what I have said. PM will always deserves the praise and the attention that she is getting because she is not just a great blogger…

PM IS ALSO A GOOD FRIEND.

Thank you for being so nice to me, PM.

So for your Anniversary, pagpasensiyahan mo na ang post ko, ha? Alam kong di ka pa makakacomment, teehee…

Also, as a gift, The World’s Cutest Kitten! Un sabi sa video. Enjoy!

Encourage Someone to Create a Blog

let’s talk about my bucket list. :)

i was able to complete a task without even me knowing it. wanna know what is it?

9. encourage someone to create a blog.

a3c (his blog name) and i have been officemates for quite a while now. we were in the same shift and sometimes, we share the same interest. i was the one who introduced him to google reader, to camille co and a lot of other bloggers. we even planned to create a lookbook account but that will be too much for me, maybe for him its not.

he is into travelling. because of blogging, he was able to go to ilocos without spending much.

before, he really wanted to start a blog in order to document all of his adventures but he was still unsure. last week, i also informed him that i have a blog. yes, he is one of the two people in our company that knows i write. haha. every time he reads my post, i really don’t know if i will really be okay about it.

enough of me, here is the link of a3c’s awesome blog.

friends, kindly welcome him and show him some bloggers love. haha.

Thanks Ayla!

It all started with a plan. I joined. I met my partner. Then, I received my gift!

Ayla and I met a while ago at Moonleaf. I tagged along my friend, Dale, in case I will get lost at Teacher’s Village. I was really nervous meeting my partner and having Dale with me really helped me a lot.

I really get tense when meeting new people. Sometimes, I really turn out shy. Most of the times, I tend to be quiet, and let the other person do most of the talking.

Good thing, Ayla was really nice to both of us. She shared a lot of things and Dale and I really learned a lot from her. She also ask questions that really made me talk a lot. She made the two of us comfortable. Pasensiya na if we get distracted most of the time, andami kasing cute sa Moonleaf kanina! Haha!

Thanks Ayla for the fancy orange neck tie, I love it a lot. Salamat din for introducing us to a new tambayan. Sa uulitin ha, sa Moonleaf ulet.

Thanks PM for the awesome idea. I really had fun. Next year ulet… Meet din tayo ha. :)

Super Bianca!

Mahilig akong magbasa.

Anyways, wala namang mawawala. Good luck nalang sa akin, haha!

Sali na din kayo… Click nu lang ito.

All About Elmer!

My blog looks different now and it will never be possible without the help of a new friend, a fellow blogger, Elmer! He has several blogs and he taught me where I can I get a new template, how to use a Windows live writer, and he just told me to keep on blogging. You can check his blog by clicking on this link. I can say that Elmer was my blog mentor, and I am thankful that I learned from one of the Best!

Elmer, Maraming Salamat!
