Catching Fire

By: Suzanne Collins

After finishing the Hunger Games, I know I have to read the book as soon as possible. The series is starting to be an obsession.

A year after the Hunger Games where Katniss and Peeta win, President Snow created a new system for the upcoming Quarter Quell, an event that took place every 25th year of the Hunger Games. For this year, what the nemesis planned was to have all the previous Victors (winner of the games) back in the arena, and since Katniss is the only girl victor of District 12, she has no choice but to go back to the arena. Isn’t that horrible?

Together with Peeta, they went back to the games. Same process, they have to ride a chariot at the opening, go back on training, and the same interview process with the guy with blue hair on the movie. What was different is how every Victors in the games treat the whole competition, yes, there will be killing but you know the other Victors were planning something.

The story is way better than the first book. Maybe because the book concentrated on how people felt rather than focus on what was happening to Katniss and her struggles to survive. The characters in the book are someone that you will love, it will make you idolize them. Remember when you were kids and you played which member of Maskman you will be? Its like that, there were a variety of choices of which Victor you want to be.

I have to say this, though, I can’t wait to see Finnick on film. haha! Open-mouthed smile

Suzanne Collins really made a good job in providing cliff hangers, now, I can’t wait to finish the third book. Open-mouthed smile
